A Note from Our Founder
Claire Christmas.
After 25 years in recruitment, I didn’t want to keep doing what everyone else was doing. I wanted to build something more accountable. More trustable. More human.
*Able was born from that belief.
I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a recruiter, I fell into it after redundancy. But from the very first day, I knew this was where I belonged. Not because of the processes or targets, but because of the people. The conversations. The chance to make something good actually happen.
I’ve worked across in-house, agency, local scale-ups and global brands. And if those years taught me one thing, it’s this: the best hiring doesn’t start with a job spec. It starts with connection.
That’s what I’ve always been drawn to. And it’s what *Able is here to protect—at a time when recruitment is becoming more transactional and less personable by the day.
I didn’t want to build another business that over-promises and under-delivers. I wanted to build one that actually listens. That partners properly. That does the work well and does it right.
Because when you lead with trust, care, and experience, recruitment still works. And it’s still enjoyable—for everyone involved.
